unlike most valley bars, you will not have to endure karaoke at pineapple hill. No three-piece folk band or poetry reading either. In fact, there's not even a pool table or dart board. What you will find is a regular crowd lounging in comfortable seating around the fireplace, some eating sandwiches from the standard menu, most just talking. It's a conversation bar with a decent juke box turned low, dim light, and a couple of tv's behind the bar for the solo drinkers. Pineapple is unpretentious sherman oaks, and it looks much the same as it did 21 years ago when it opened (including some of the crowd.) brisk business fills the small bar most nights for happy hour and late night.
